Future Events

The 4^th Annual General Meeting of FoBS will be held on Mon 12th July 2010 in the Harewood Arms at 7pm.  Anyone interested in the work of FoBS is welcome to attend.

 FoBS is supporting Broadbottom in Bloom and will be providing information on the communities involvement in the developments at the station.

 Recent Events

 A Teddy Bear’s Picnic was held on May 8^th.  More than 60 Teddy Bears with children and parents travelled from Broadbottom station to Glossop where they enjoyed a picnic and singing and listened to a story-teller. 

At the same time a similar party travelled from Glossop to our station where they had a picnic and a colouring competition. Although it was overcast and a bit cool, the event was a great success for both groups.

 Recent  Achievements.

 Northern Rail has cleared the large shrubs from the rockery area at the bottom of the slope.  They are providing shrubs which FoBS will plant.  The transformation is amazing with the area feeling much more spacious and open.

Northern Rail is also in the process of repainting the Station.  The freshly painted walls in the ticket office area set off the pictures very well.
