Santa will arrive on the Glossop platform at 11.40 am

 

Recent achievements

 ·         Framed pictures and photos on display in ticket office area

·         Paintings to cover boarded up pub windows

·         2 new flower beds by white gate on Glossop car park

·         A seat on the Glossop platform

·         Children’s mural on Glossop platform

·         Seasonally planted hanging baskets

·         Annual planting of spring bulbs by Brownies and local school children

·         Twice yearly community litter picks on station car park

·         Flowering plants in waiting room and ticket office areas

·         Funding obtained from ACORP, Northern, TMBC, Amicus, POLNET and GMPF to support the above projects. 

Future projects

 ·         Continue to involve local community in station projects

·         Maintain hanging baskets and gardens

·         A shelter for the Glossop platform

·         An electronic information board and helpline for station

·         Sympathetic management of trees and undergrowth on Mottram Road side of car park

·         Liaise with Northern and Network Rail re future of derelict pub building.
