MOCLIN VISIT to BROADBOTTOM 2007
Visiting Broadbottom (and Britain) for the first time – were Antonio Lucena Martin (Justice of the Peace in the Moclin area); his brother Carlos Lucena Martin (Mayor) and Amalia Ordonez …..Tourism Officer for the area. Impressed and surprised by Broadbottom (the weather was good!) and invited by the Deputy Mayor to the Mayor’s Parlour, they also enjoyed a Chinese meal in Manchester’s China Town, a meal on the Curry Mile at Rusholme, and a visit to the Lowry, and Liverpool’s Cavern. For Broadbottom people, they organised a paella and sangria night at the Community Centre, with guitar, trumpet and salsa dancing being provided by local artistes.
