FLAMENCO IN BROADBOTTOM 2008

 The annual visit of Moclin Spanish visitors turned out to be the ‘Spectacular’ it was billed as!   As well as the Mayor and JP, from Moclin, Andalucia, along came ‘Chiqui’ (flamenco dancer) and Lope (flamenco guitarist) whose first performance out of Spain went down a storm with the packed house of 80 people at Broadbottom Community Centre on 31 October.     After the beautiful dancing and accomplished guitar solos and songs, the audience enjoyed tapas and wine.   

 ‘Village Exchange’/’Pueblo Intercambiar’ is a group of people in Broadbottom who are interested in all things Spanish, and arranged cultural and educational events in both Moclin and Broadbottom.   Catch them on their website: www.villageexchange.co.uk and let them know if you’re interested.
